At the border between Kunvald and Bartošovice v Orlických horách cadastral areas, before the road enters the woods over Zaječiny, members of the sect of Adamites used to hide around 1550.
There were numerous complaints, because the followers walked around naked, presented a threat to the property and life of travellers, and committed various lecherous deeds.
The then lord Jaroslav of Pernstein sent his retainers to restore order. The armigers caught sect members in a pub on the road to Kłodzko. After a brief struggle the pub was surrounded and set in fire. According to a legend the building collapsed underground, and all the Adamites died in flames.
Jaroslav of Pernstein had a pillar built on the fire site, with signs of Five Holy Wounds. The pillar was replaced with a wooden cross in 1824. Today you can find a small iron cross here.
