The statue on a high sandstone pedestal was commissioned in 1871 by František Krahulec and Marie Bílková. The author was sculptor Čípa from Ústí nad Orlicí. The material came from the quarry of Mr. Kalous from Klášterec nad Orlicí.
The statue was repaired, restored and newly gold-plated at the cost of the nearby farmstead owners in 1936, and again in 2000.
